Register A New Domain Name
We offer domain name registration separate from any hosting options, even hosting with us. This gives you greater flexibility if and when you want to “cut the strings” to your website hosting account (read my Digital Sharecropper post to see why this is important). This way, there’s no question who “owns” the domain. No need to get transfer authorization codes or depend on the designer that may no longer be in business.
On your end, you won’t have to transfer the domain to another host/registrar when you move your website hosting. And if you kept the registrar as your old host? You know how awkward it is when you have to deal with an ex to get back something you left behind after the break up. Yeah, like that.
If you’re a techie, you’ll like the fact that we give you full control of all the DNS record settings. You can change the DNS nameservers, set up A records, AAAA records, CNAME, TXT, SRV, all that stuff.
If you’re not a techie, we can help you when you need it. For a hosting account, just tell us who you signed up with to host your website, and we’ll make the change here.
Because the domain registration is on a different website, click Domain Registration to open the site in a new window.
